Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

To use 3CORD you must be at least 18 years old. 3CORD is exclusively for adults and is not directed to minors. When creating your account you declare that you are 18 or older; if you are not, you may not use the app. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. If you use the app on behalf of your partner, you represent that you are authorized to do so.

2. Service Description

3CORD is a devotional application designed for Christian couples. It includes daily devotionals, spiritual growth plans and study themes, couple communication tools (board, prayers, gratitudes, goals), a crisis-support module and a "first-aid kit" of resources, gift plans, and optional premium features. Spiritual unity is central: certain progress advances only when both spouses complete the devotional.

3. Not Professional Advice or Emergency Services

3CORD is a spiritual companion tool. It does not provide and is not a substitute for professional, pastoral, medical, psychological, legal, or financial counseling. The crisis resources and helpline numbers shown in the app are informational only. If you or someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (for example 911 in the U.S.) or a crisis line (for example 988 in the U.S.). Do not use the app to report emergencies.

4. Your Account and Security

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it current. Notify us immediately if you detect unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

5. Partner Linking and Shared Content

Linking your account with your spouse’s is optional. Once linked, certain content (devotional progress, the board, and the prayers, gratitudes, and goals you choose to share) syncs between both accounts. Answers to Connection questions remain hidden until both partners respond. If a couple unlinks, syncing stops; content you already shared may have been seen or saved by the other person.

6. Subscriptions, Free Trial, and Auto-Renewal

3CORD offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. Premium subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your device’s subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid and the next period is not charged. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Refunds are governed by the respective store’s policies, without prejudice to any rights granted to you by the consumer protection laws of your country. Premium is inherited by the linked spouse; if the couple dissolves, the non-paying spouse keeps premium until the end of their current period.

7. Gift Plans and Vouchers

Gift codes are single-use, have no cash value, and are non-refundable and non-redeemable for money except where required by law. When you redeem a code, premium activates on your account and, if you are already linked, on your spouse’s account too; if you do not yet have a partner, it will be inherited upon linking. Reselling or commercializing codes without authorization is not permitted.

8. Your Content and License

The content you create (prayers, gratitudes, goals, answers, and notes) belongs to you. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, process, sync, and display that content to you and your linked partner in order to operate the service. You are responsible for the content you post and represent that you have the right to share it.

9. Acceptable Conduct

You may not use the app for illegal purposes; to harass, threaten, or impersonate others; to share offensive, harmful, or infringing content; or to breach or attempt to breach the security, access, or integrity of the service through reverse engineering, scraping, unauthorized automation, or similar means.

10. Intellectual Property

All devotional content, design, software, and the 3CORD brand are owned by the company or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, or create derivative works without written permission.

11. Third-Party Services

The app relies on third-party services (including Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Supabase, Firebase, Sentry, PostHog, Resend, and Expo) to function. Your use of features provided by those third parties may also be governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind beyond those required by law and that cannot be waived. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 3CORD shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and its total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the prior 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits the consumer rights granted to you by the law of your country.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if necessary to protect the service or others. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, limitation of liability, governing law) will remain in effect after termination.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Bucaramanga, Colombia, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections and courts available to you under the law of your country of residence. Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith by contacting us through Support.

15. Changes to the Terms

We may update these terms. When changes are significant, we will notify you within the app and indicate the effective date. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

16. General Provisions

If any clause is held invalid, the remainder will stay in effect. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and 3CORD. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or sale of the business. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
