One program for both of you, one day at a time
439 devotionals in 8 stages that husband and wife do together, in order, from day 1. You can read the first one in full below.
Quick answer
The 3CORD program is 439 daily devotionals, ordered in 8 stages — from Foundations to Delight — that husband and wife do together in the app. Every couple starts at devotional 1 and moves forward one day at a time, always on the same devotional. Each day brings a Bible passage, a reflection, a practical application and a prayer.
How it works
-
Everyone starts at day 1
It is not a library to pick from at random: it is a path in order, and each stage builds on the one before.
-
One devotional a day, in four parts
Passage, reflection, application and prayer. You can do it together on one phone or each on your own.
-
Always on the same devotional
If one of you could not, the next day you are both still on the same one. You move forward together, never in parallel.
-
Nothing is lost
Progress counts devotionals done, not calendar days. If you pause, you pick up where you were.

The Maker's Manual
First read in your Bible Matthew 19:4-6.
Reflection
Imagine buying a piece of fine furniture, one of those that comes in a thousand pieces with a manual thicker than a dictionary. With your ego running high and an Allen wrench in your hand, you decide you don't need instructions. Two hours later, you have a wobbly desk and five extra screws. Sound familiar? Well, the exact same thing happens with marriage. We think we can build a life together based on what we see in movies, a neighbor's advice, or what we consider logical, and then we wonder why the relationship creaks at the first storm.
In the passage from Matthew, Jesus takes us right back to the moment humanity cut the ribbon: the beginning. He reminds us that marriage isn't an institution invented by some ancient government or a social contract someone pulled out of a hat to organize people. It was the Creator Himself who drew the original blueprint. He is the ultimate Architect of this thing we call being married.
We live in an era where culture sells us marriage as just another consumer product. The modern mindset whispers in our ear that if this relationship no longer makes you happy, if you feel a bit bored, or if the pieces don't fit perfectly like day one, you should simply throw it away and buy a newer model. We have reduced this sacred covenant to a convenience agreement, where I stick around only as long as my needs are instantly met.
But think about it for a second: if you didn't manufacture the car, who are you to put water in it instead of gasoline and get mad because the engine was ruined? If God designed marriage, then He is the only one holding the correct instruction manual. When the Architect joins two people, He does so with a brilliant purpose and a structure designed to withstand hurricanes, not to collapse when we leave a wet towel on the bed or overspend at the grocery store.
And here is the wonder of the original design: 'the two will become one flesh.' This doesn't mean you will magically start complaining about the same backaches as your spouse or think identically. It's about a deep unity, an intertwining of souls, goals, and wallets. It's understanding that we are one team; when I win, you win, and when I make a mistake, we both feel the hit.
Recognizing God as the Architect of our house is an immense relief. It means that when we don't understand our partner and are about to lose our minds over a pointless argument, we don't have to guess the solution. We can go straight to the Owner of the design. His instruction is clear: leave, cleave, and become one. Leave pride behind and depend on Him.
Today is a good day to look at that structure you are building together. If you've been trying to put your marriage together using the culture's tools or your own shifting opinions, it's time to drop all of that. Return to the Creator's manual. I promise you that the blueprints He drew for you are much better than anything this world tries to sell you.
Application
Let's lay philosophy aside and get highly practical. The first step today is to sit down with a good cup of coffee and identify which 'fake blueprints' we've been following. Are we measuring our marriage's success by how many likes our photo gets on social media, or because the world tells us that if we argue a lot we should separate? Let's acknowledge where we have stopped consulting God's design.
Once those wrong ideas are identified, we must make a conscious decision to clean house. This means we stop consuming cheap advice from people who don't value marriage the way God made it. Instead, open the Word and look for what the Maker actually says about forgiveness, patience, and mutual service. The Bible needs to be the final judge in every argument under our roof.
Now, let's ground the concept of being 'one flesh'. This week, take a quick inventory of your individualism. Do you catch yourself saying 'my money', 'my time', or 'my plans' a lot? Deliberately start replacing 'I' with 'we' in your daily conversations. Doing the budget as a pair, deciding together what to watch on TV, or simply washing the dishes as a team reinforces that invisible bond.
Fiercely protect what God has joined. Our enemy is an expert at driving small wedges of separation: hidden resentments over a silly oversight, endless distractions scrolling on our phones instead of talking in bed, or friendships that don't respect your relationship. Close those doors right today. Do not let anyone or anything put divisions in foundations that took so much work to build.
Finally, celebrate the Owner's manual. Tonight, without fail, hold hands and thank God together for designing you for one another. Acknowledge that your different personalities aren't a glitch in the system, but rather pieces that fit perfectly into the Architect's blueprint. Decide, from this day forward, to build your home following only the instructions in His manual.
Prayer
Beloved Father, today we come before You with hearts overflowing with gratitude for the incredible gift of our marriage. Thank You, Lord, because You didn't leave us adrift trying to guess how this is done, but from the beginning You created this perfect design so we could enjoy life, so we wouldn't be alone, and so we could know true love. Thank You for my spouse; I recognize they are a masterpiece straight from Your hands to complement my life.
We ask for Your forgiveness, Father, for all the times we have been stubborn and tried to build our relationship our own way. Forgive us for the occasions we let culture dictate how we should treat each other, for viewing my partner as a disposable product, and for allowing selfishness to disguise itself as independence. We repent for having ignored Your manual and for acting as if we knew better than the true Architect.
Lord, we beg You to protect us from the subtle deception of this world. Help us not to fall into the fleeting mindset that current society applauds, and guard us from any distraction or person trying to sow discord between us. Put a hedge of fire around our home so we don't allow small cracks, like a bad temper or the pride of not apologizing, to threaten the strength of what You have built.
Give us the wisdom, Holy Spirit, to grow practically every single day. Teach us to let go of our ego and build a true 'us' even in the most everyday details, whether it's doing the dishes together, making financial decisions, or learning to listen to each other without looking at our phones. Mold our character so we perfectly fit the original blueprint You designed when You joined us.
And today, our God, we bind our lives to Yours. We affirm with absolute certainty that we are not just two people trying to survive under the same roof, but a cord of three strands where You are the center. With You intertwined in our daily relationship, we know we will not be quickly broken. We hand You the blueprints of our home in Jesus' name, amen.

Going through something specific?
Alongside the program, the app has guided Journeys for one specific area: trust, fighting, money, distance, children. You open them when you need them, alongside the program, and the first day of each is free.
Frequently asked questions
How long is the program?
It is 439 devotionals: at one a day, a little over a year. But progress counts devotionals done, not calendar days: if you pause for a week or a month, you pick up where you left off. No content is ever lost.
Do we have to start at day 1?
Yes. It is a program in order: each stage builds on the one before, which is why every couple starts with Foundations. If you are going through something specific — trust, fighting, money, distance — that is what Journeys are for: you open them on demand, alongside the program.
What happens if one of us cannot do it one day?
The next day you are both on the same devotional: the app assumes you did it together on one phone. And if you were apart, on a trip for example, the other spouse gets a notice that you already started that day’s devotional.
What does it cost?
7 days free, no card. After that, a monthly or annual subscription, and if one spouse subscribes, the linked spouse has access too.
Why do you only publish devotional 1?
Because the program is a journey: each devotional makes sense in its place, after the ones before it. Day 1 is where everyone starts, so reading it here is the same as starting in the app.
