“a cord of three is not easily broken!”

Quick answer

3CORD is a daily devotional app for married couples. Each day has four sections — verse, reflection, application and prayer — and the streak only advances once both of you have done that day’s devotional. It is not an individual app: it is a couple account with two linked profiles.

The problem

The devotional apps that exist are individual: each person reads on their own, each keeps their own streak, and two people living in the same house end up growing in parallel without ever intersecting. It works as personal reading. It builds nothing shared.

How it works

Four sections a day

Verse, reflection, application and prayer. Deliberately short: what lasts months is not length, it is daily.

The streak only moves if you both do it

You cannot get ahead: the next devotional comes once both of you have done today’s.

Async Mode

On by default: if your spouse does not have their phone, you wait. It can be turned off when needed.

Shared board

Notes, prayers and Connection questions between the two of you, in one place.

Connection privacy

Your answers stay hidden until your spouse writes theirs. Nobody sees the other’s first.

Nothing is lost

Progress counts completed devotionals, not calendar days. If you pause, you resume where you were.

The difference, in one sentence

In other apps progress depends on you. In 3CORD it depends on both of you.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use 3CORD without my spouse?

The app works in individual mode, with prompts to link your spouse, but it is designed for two. The shared streak, the board and Connection privacy only make sense once both profiles are linked.

What if my spouse falls behind?

You wait. Async Mode is on by default for exactly that reason: unity is the point. If you need to move ahead alone, for example when your spouse has no phone, it can be turned off.

Do we lose content if we stop for a while?

No. Progress counts completed devotionals, not calendar days. If you pause for a month, you resume where you were. Nothing is skipped to catch up with the date.

What does it cost?

7 days free, no credit card. After that, a monthly or annual subscription. If one spouse subscribes, the linked spouse has access too.

Can my spouse see what I write?

In Connection questions, not until they answer. One spouse’s answers stay hidden until the other writes theirs, so nobody’s answer is shaped by the other’s. It is a product rule, not a setting.

What languages is it in?

Spanish and English. The language is detected from the device and can be changed in your profile.
